March Lush Haul

It's no secret that I'm a huge Lush fan, and having worked for the company for a number of years', there are a few products that I cannot live without. Last week I picked up a few of my staples and wanted to rave about why I buy these products time and again, plus one of their new limited edition Mother's Day bubbleroons!

One of my most frequently bought products is Ultrabland Cream Cleanser, which has actually been around even before Lush stores were first opened. Based on an Ancient Greek recipe, Ultrabland uses very few ingredients, making it gentle on the skin and perfect for people with sensitive skin, acne sufferers or very dry skin. However, I wouldn't say my skin fits into any of the above categories and I love it as well! Made from almond oil, beeswax, honey + rose water, this product is great for removing make up from both skin + eyes, and is best used with a muslin cloth or hot flannel.

Let The Good Times Roll is another cleanser, but this product is packed with maize flour to exfoliate the skin as well. The corn oil helps to keep the skin moisturised, making it quite a gentle scrub. With this product, I'd recommend taking an almond-sized amount and mixing it with water in your hand before cleansing your face. It also smells amazing which is a nice bonus!

If you're after a more heavy duty scrub, Ocean Salt will do the trick. If the name didn't give it a way, it is a salt-based scrub, packed with enzymic lime + vodka. I personally wouldn't use this more than once or twice a week because my skin can feel a bit dry after use, however I find nothing can fight a break out like it. Lush offers two versions - preserved and self-preserved. Aside from the benefits of having no synthetic preservatives, I prefer the self-preserved version as it has more butters and oils than the original, making it a bit more gentle on the skin.

Catastrophe Cosmetic is one of Lush's fresh face masks - the ones you see on an iced display in store. These masks contain no synthetics preservatives or parabens, and are made using fresh ingredients. I love this one in particular because it really helps to reduce redness and makes your skin baby soft! Lush also offers a recycling scheme, where you can exchange 5 empty + clean black Lush pots for a free fresh face mask.

Last but not least is one of Lush's new range of marbled bubbleroons, released in honour of Mother's Day. Purple Drain has a black pepper, clove + peppermint scent, and contains moisturising cocoa + murumuru butters. It also makes your bath water a beautiful bright purple.

And that's my lot! For other Lush posts, look at this tag.
