Date Night at Napoleons Casino

One of my favourite things about being a blogger is the amazing opportunities it brings, and getting to experience things that I wouldn't usually try! Last Saturday, my partner and I were kindly invited to Napoleons Casino, Ecclesall Road to sample their 'Dine in Style' package. This was our very first time in a casino, but we had such a fun time at Napoleons! I've been pretty excited to write this review - so grab a cuppa & a perch, and I'll tell you all about my evening at the casino...

When we arrived, our coats were taken and we were escorted to our table by the lovely host. The 'Dine in Style' package includes a both a 3-course meal, and a free drink on arrival. To start, I went for the tomato + pimento soup with some fresh bread - which was beautiful!

 

For mains, the vegetarian option was a roast vegetable Wellington, with buttery herby mash + tomato gravy which was so yummy. Paul had - and I quote - "the best rib eye steak" he'd ever had - pretty impressive, eh?

Desserts featured shortbread layered with berries + sorbet for myself, and a phenomenal caramel + honeycomb cheesecake for the bf (I deffo had a serious case of dessert envy). Each course was presented so beautifully, and tasted as gorgeous as it looked.

Feeling very full, we were then shown downstairs to the casino. Once the casino manager had showed us around, and explained the rules + stakes of the different games, we sat down at the Roulette table and placed our bets. As part of the 'Dine in Style' package, we each had a £5 gaming chip, which equated to a stack of 25p gaming chips. We did bet a bit of our own money, but there is absolutely no pressure to do so, and the stakes start at 25p, so you can have fun without risking your entire life savings!

After a few rum and cokes, countless games of Roulette and getting to know the other players around the table by name, we decided to quit while we were ahead (£10 up - woo!) and head off home.
