Zoeva Cosmetics | Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set Review

zoeva rose golden luxury set volume 2

Zoeva brushes have always been firm favourites in the beauty blogosphere, but they really dazzled us all when they released their Rose Golden collection. With pastel pink wooden handles, super soft bristles + rose gold detailing, this face + eye brush set certainly looks the part - but how does it measure up on performance? Read on for pictures, where to buy + a full review...

I finally bagged myself my first set of Zoeva brushes when my partner bought them me for my birthday a couple of months ago. I also received the Zoeva Rose Golden eye shadow palette - which I'll discuss in a separate review!

The brushes come in a gorgeous rose gold metallic pouch, with beautiful matching detailing. The bag also leaves room for more brushes, meaning you can add to your collection! But enough about the aesthetics, let's get down to how the brushes perform...

FACE

104 Buffer - this can be used for both the application and blending of foundation. I'm a huge fan of flat foundation brushes, so knew I'd love the 104. Personally, I use a different brush to apply my foundation, and then use the 104 to buff away any excess foundation, and blend any harsh contour lines.

109 Luxe Face Paint - this flat brush can be used to contour the face with ease. Apply bronzer to anywhere you want to mimic shadow, and then blend out with the 104.

126 Luxe Cheek Finish - I use this brush to apply blush, but it can also be used for powder and bronzer too! It's super soft, with a domed shape that easily blends out product.

EYES

226 Smudger - perfect for applying + blending product around the lash line and under the eye. It is also great for framing your brows with powder highlighter!

317 Wing Liner - a sharply-angled liner brush to achieve even + dramatic flicks. I use this with Illamasqua Precision Gel Eyeliner, and the two together are an absolute dream.

234 Luxe Smoky Shader - this is one of my favourite brushes out of the set! Use it to apply + blend product across the eyelid. Amazing for blending darker shades across from the outer lid.

322 Brow Line - another highlight of the set, this brow brush is shorter than most, making it super easy to get full precision when using brow powder or wax.

226 Luxe Crease - this brush is designed to blend transitions of shadow on the lid. I don't find myself using this brush much; I much prefer the 234 for blending!

Overall, I'm really impressed with these brushes. They make a great starter set for anyone looking to invest in some high quality brushes. Aesthetically speaking, they're gorgeous, and Zoeva have gone to town on the detailing with this set. They have a great weight, and I haven't experienced any shedding when cleaning them. Favourites in this set are the 104 Buffer + 234 Luxe Smoky Shader brushes, which you can buy individually if you're not sure on buying the entire set!

Bought individually, these brushes would set you back £82, so £65 for the set - plus the clutch - is quite the saving! You can buy them direct from the Zoeva website or from Selfridges.

Do you have any Zoeva brushes? What set would you go for?
