Show Me Joni: The Best Macarons In Sheffield

One of the things that attracted me to Sheffield four years ago, was the abundance of independent shops, cafes + restaurants that grace the city. Joni is the perfect example of this: an independent business, providing fantastic handmade produce to the people of Sheffield...

I first came across Joni when the wonderful Kathryn + Liam provided me with lots of their lovely macarons for a blog event I was arranging at work. Since then, I've been hooked! Coming in a range of colours + flavours, these macarons not only taste amazing, but also look the part too.

Starting their business last year by circulating around markets + food events, Joni now have their own cafe, where you can not only find their signature macarons, but also a number of breakfast, brunch + sandwich options.

Joni looks at using a wide range of natural flavours, paired with elegant designs. Favourites of mine include their wild blueberry + vanilla, and their rose flavoured macarons. Every time I've tried to make macarons myself, I've failed quite hilariously, so paying £9.95 for a box of 6 is definitely preferable.

You can find Joni at Walkley, on 404 South Road, and their beautiful macarons also take pride of place in Steamyard, Upshot Espresso + Teatime VintageYou can even hire out Joni for events, parties + weddings, to make your special day even more gorgeous.

Have you tried a Joni macaron? Or attempted to make macarons yourself? If you want to make an order with Joni then click here to go to their online shop, or here to look at their cafe menu.

  2. Love this post, that's what I love about Sheffield all the independent coffee places - we attempted to go to them all but this one of the few we never made it to!
