The Melt Crowd - Flamingo Candles

This year my Christmas presents from my parents featured finds from a Christmas event at the NEC, Birmingham that my mum and sister had attended. My absolute fave gift that had come from the show has to be a set of Flamingo wax melts. I'd never heard of Flamingo before, but as soon as I had a smell of each of the individually wrapped melts, I fell in love!

Mother's Day at LUSH

Rose Bombshell - £3.95

I've been a massive fan of LUSH since I was eight years old, so I can't help but get excited when new products are released! This year, the magical minds at LUSH have invented some spectacular products for their Mother's Day range, as well as bringing back last year's favourite.

LUSH Spa, Leeds | The Good Hour Review

A couple of weeks ago I paid my third visit to a LUSH spa for The Good Hour treatment. Most people think 'bath bombs' when they hear the word LUSH. However, in 8 British stores there are hidden away, vintage English kitchens, which are home to the sensory spa treatments bespoke to the cosmetics company.

Marmadukes Cafe Deli

On the cobbled side streets of Sheffield lies a number of cute and cosy eateries, pubs + bars. A great example is Marmadukes Cafe Deli, found just off Fargate, at 22 Norfolk Row. Marmadukes serves homemade food, made from locally sourced + fresh ingredients, as well as the finest freshly brewed coffee from around the globe.

Nudes + Neutrals

Left to right: Taupe, Brick-o-la, Double Shot, Viva Glam II, Wing Woman, Frisky Business, Minx, Riot, Natural Rose.

This week I received a black parcel in the post, containing a brand new MAC lipstick. For me, nothing beats getting a package in the post - especially if that parcel contains brand new make-up.  A comment from a colleague (“don’t you already have that colour?”) made me realise my new love for a more neutral coloured lipstick. Being a big fan of blood reds + vibrant oranges for years, this is a bit of a revelation for me. However, with having 'Marsala' - a muted, neutral rose - as Pantone's Colour of the Year 2015, it's not surprising that I've built up a collection of increasingly popular nude + neutral coloured lipsticks over the past year.

The Alchemist

On the recommendation of a friend, I visited The Alchemist, Leeds Trinity this week with my mum for some lunch and cocktails. I’ve been pestering my partner for the past year to go to the Manchester branch, but we’ve just never got round to going, so when I discovered there was one in Leeds I jumped at the opportunity.
